He is faithful

And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Phil 4:19 ESV

This past month, the Lord has been reminding us of His faithfulness in so many tangible ways. God has provided a property for us to use for ministry in the Big Bend area. We have been able to pay for the property and initial improvements in full without taking out any loans.

With the ongoing craziness of COVID-19 the Lord has kept our family healthy and none of our immediate family has shown any symptoms. In fact, we can’t remember a year that all four of us have been so healthy and not gotten sick.

Jason has finished his doctoral thesis and received the go ahead for his orals defense. This defense is the last hurdle before the finish line, and he expects to graduate in May. God has been so faithful to provide the time, energy, and the wisdom and guidance of the thesis committee to bring this five year long journey to a successful conclusion.

This past week has been a trying one for us and for most folks in the great state of Texas. With an unprecedented snowstorm that brought over a week of sub-freezing temperatures and lows in the single digits, many have been without power and water for days. We feel so incredibly blessed that our power outages have been mostly in the evenings, and our pipes have not frozen like many of our neighbors have. Because we stocked up on wood for Ascend trips we have plenty of firewood to heat the house. With multiple downed limbs due to freezing rain, we will easily be able to replenish our wood supply once the storm subsides.

Many of our friends and neighbors have had a much more difficult go of it, and we are trying to help them as we can. Please be praying for all those in the Midwest who have been affected in so many difficult ways by this crazy weather. Know that you are in our prayers as well. No matter where you reside and what you may be facing, you can trust that God will supply all your needs according to His riches and glory in Christ Jesus.
